"I met Pat Lynn who was also from Springville, Utah. We courted by traveling back and forth to Springville to visit our families. Our families lived two blocks apart, but I didn't know Pat in Springville because she was still in Kindergarten. Pat's dad finally paid me twenty dollars to take her off his hands and I needed the money so I married her.
Bp. Tom Logan married us Nov. 18, 1966. Pat had Tamara 4, and Lynn 1, so that twenty dollars didn't go very far. In January 1970 Pat and I were sealed in the St. George Temple and then precious son Richard was laid in our arms."
